Zohaib A. Alvi, P.E., is a Civil, Structural, and Forensic Engineer, and Principal of za/engineering. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and maintains licensure in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

He has extensive experience in the structural design of new commercial and residential structures, and is highly skilled in evaluation, repair, and rehabilitation of existing structures and historic buildings.

He is also highly experienced in forensic engineering investigations, in order to determine the cause and origin of structural deficiencies, damage to structures following accidents and weather-related damage, and other concerns.

He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY), National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE), National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers (NABIE), ASTM International (ASTM), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineers (IABSE).

He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Architectural Technology and Construction Management department at Farmingdale State College.
